Design-wise, consider glass-front cabinets to add an open, airy feel, and lighter stains and paints to keep things bright. For function, accessories are your friend – there are different pull-out organizers that fit into narrow spaces; spice racks, wire baskets, drawer organizers, and a number of options for corner cabinets. You can even have cabinets custom-designed to fit your needs!

Where Do Your Design Ideas Come From?

Magazines are a great source of inspiration, for everything from room design to cabinets, lighting, countertops and more. The more pages you flag, the more likely it is that a trend will start to emerge that your designer can identify. Plus, you can point out specific details that are an absolute "must have." From that, your designer can create a truly personalized kitchen.

Websites are another great resource – most manufacturers (including us!) have a photo gallery filled with product and/or room photos that will provide lots of great ideas.

Showrooms, stores, hotels, and restaurants can also provide ideas for colors, lighting and fabrics. And don't forget your friends' new or remodeled kitchens – there may be all sorts of ideas you can borrow!
